causebox-fall-2016-box

CAUSEBOX is a quarterly subscription box curated with their socially conscious products for women. In each box you’ll receive 5-8 seasonal lifestyle products that are focused on ethical and sustainable production, donate a percent of profits to charity, or aim to inspire and empower others.

FYI – you can still buy this box! Save $10 on your first box with coupon code FALL10!

The box design was by Jasmine (9 years old!) in collaboration with Umano – a kids’ clothing brand with the mission to empower kids to unleash their creativity (and for every shirt sold they donate a backpack full of school and art supplies to kids!).

There’s a mini magazine included in this box with all the item info.

The makers of the products are also featured in the magazine, which details the stories and causes behind each item!

Everything in the Fall 2016 box! The meaningful items in your box will make you reflect, bring some beauty in your life, and benefit social programs.

Gramr Gratitude Co. Thank You Cards ($15?): Gramr formerly had a subscription of its own, but joined forces with Causebox earlier this year. I think it’s such a great partnership!causebox-fall-2016-6 The cards are super pretty, with an urban watercolor design and a nice bold metallic Thank You! Definitely sending one to a friend that treated me to lunch last week!

Lucky Iron Fish Cast Iron Fish ($25) Having dealt with pretty severe anemia in the past I am wild over this item!causebox-fall-2016-unboxing It’s a cast iron fish that you use to create your own iron liquor at home! And the design is fabulous – even if you aren’t in need of extra dietary iron, you need this fish.causebox-fall-2016-4

The booklet comes with complete instructions and every fish sold is a fish given to women in need. (FYI – you can get the same benefits from regularly cooking with unenameled cast iron).

Urbana Sacs Multi-Storage Handmade Container ($29) This item comes folded flat, but it’s a container made out of washable paper!causebox-fall-2016-8

It’s durable and nice for storing counter items in. And in addition to being washable, you can wet and reshape it! I always love getting an innovative new-to-me item!

Jenessa Wait “Find the Good and Praise It” Print($12?) There’s typically a print in each box and I think this one is super pretty with lovely metallic rose gold lettering. This print is a reminder to focus on the good!

DOGEARED “Balance” Necklace ($40?) The Dogeared jewelry line typically features tiny meaningful charms, but the Balance collection is just one bar meant to enhance a life lived in beauty with simple balance. This necklace is great for combining with other necklaces – either ones you already own or other metals and textures in the balance collection!causebox-fall-2016-17 I couldn’t find this exact necklace online – necklaces in the collection range from $40-$110 and this is probably the simplest one.

Hobbs Tea Tea Traveler ($24) This tea set includes 5 bags of unique teas. I am not a tea drinker but a $24 value for 5 bags of tea seems rather… steep ☕️causebox-fall-2016-13

Thee do sound quite fancy. Did you try them? Let me know how they are! Like all subscription box items you can always repurpose one into a great gift if it doesn’t fit your fancy.

causebox-fall-2016-12Each bag was individually wrapped – great to keep in your desk at work!

Liz Alig Handmade Apron ($45?) This item began its life as a button down!  And doesn’t it make the cutest apron? I am in love with the upcycled style of this apron!

causebox-fall-2016-19

On the brand’s main line of clothing they include tags that you can look up your artisan. I searched the apron for one, but mine didn’t have one. I love that this brand employs artisans in developing countries and provides them educational opportunities and reduces waste – they reclaimed tons of fabric to manufacture the aprons for this box!causebox-fall-2016-14

There’s also some special offers from the brands in this box – but I wished they saved some paper and printed them all together, like in FabFitFun.

It was very hard to find prices for most of the items, but I am guessing around $190 total value for this great collection of artisan crafted fall items, which is really fantastic! I love how every product in the box is a mindful purchase, and that this subscription makes it easy to be conscious. Plus I think this was one of their best boxes ever!

Everything in the box is nice but the fish is what I need. Will buy from the fish website. Would just use a cast iron pan but they have become too heavy for my weak muscles. I certainly need it. I have had two iron infusions this year and can’t figure out why.

I hope it works for you Virginia – and great point about the cast iron pans.
